Our client is a fast-growing Enterprise SaaS provider serving energy retailers across the UK, EU and US. The team of 20 is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions. Built on a Microsoft stack and running entirely in Azure, the platform offers digital self-service tools, broker self-service capabilities, customer service solutions, and advanced energy data analytics, empowering businesses with seamless and data-driven operations.

We are seeking an experienced Azure GenAI Developer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered chatbot and support bot applications leveraging Azure OpenAI and other Azure services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable, secure, and high-performance AI solutions tailored to business needs.

We’re looking for candidates based in the GDPR zone (EU or UK) who are comfortable working within UK business hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement chatbot and support bot applications using Azure OpenAI models.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define chatbot requirements, intent mapping, and conversation flow design.
• Integrate advanced-based frameworks to orchestrate conversational flows with multi-turn dialogues and context handling.
• Monitor and improve chatbot performance with data-driven insights and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Document processes, workflows, and technical implementations.
• Ensure data privacy and compliance with industry standards.

Required experience and skills

• Proficiency in frameworks such as Autogent, Promptflow, and Semantic kernel.
• Strong understanding of embeddings for encoding semantic meaning in text or other data.
• Familiarity with use cases for embeddings, such as similarity search, clustering, and recommendation systems.
• Familiarity with transforming raw data into vectorized representations for GenAI applications.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines to integrate embeddings and vector retrieval with GenAI models.
• Proficiency in chunking strategies to divide large datasets or documents into manageable pieces.
• Experience in integrating generative AI models with external data sources, including document stores and knowledge graphs.
• Familiarity with Azure Services — Azure AI Studio, Entra ID (Azure AD), Cosmos DB, Azure Functions, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Services, etc.
• Knowledge of integrating various Azure services for comprehensive AI solutions.
• Proficiency in languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
